Thetford introduces the new SOV45 Fan Forced Oven

Thetford expands its cooking portfolio with the introduction of the new SOV45 Fan Forced Oven. Developed to offer greater flexibility for vehicle manufacturers and self-builders, the SOV45 combines proven fan forced technology with a stylish new design in a compact format.

More design freedom

The SOV45 Fan Forced Oven, with a large oven volume of 27 L, is designed to fit in the same installation as the Duplex Oven, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of motorhome, caravan and camper van layouts. At the same time, it gives manufacturers more freedom to position hobs and ovens independently, helping them create kitchen layouts with larger worktops that better suit today’s travellers.

Proven fan forced technology

The SOV45 features a high-performance 1600 W fan forced oven that ensures even heat distribution throughout the cavity. The technology is already proven in Thetford’s K1520, delivering reliable cooking and baking performance that travellers can count on. The SOV45 brings familiar performance to a new standalone appliance configuration.

Sophisticated design

The SOV45 combines functionality with a premium appearance. A sophisticated glass fascia creates a modern look that integrates seamlessly into contemporary leisure vehicle interiors, while the stainless-steel interior offers durability and ease of cleaning. Despite its robust
performance, the oven remains lightweight at just 13.8 kg, supporting efficient vehicle design without compromising on cooking comfort.

Greater flexibility for OEMs and self-builders

With the growing demand for customised kitchen layouts, manufacturers are looking for solutions that provide greater design flexibility. By offering the oven as a standalone appliance, the SOV45 enables OEMs to position cooking appliances independently, creating layouts that optimise available space and enhance the overall user experience.
The first vehicle manufacturer to bring the new SOV45 Fan Forced Oven to market is KABE, demonstrating the industry’s confidence in this latest addition to Thetford’s cooking range. The SOV45 will also be available on the aftermarket, as self-builders also recognise the benefits of the design flexibility it offers.
