Lippert presents the Molla system: ergonomic suspension for bed frames on recreational vehicles

Molla system- Lippert Components, Inc. (Lippert™), the leading global supplier of components for the recreational vehicle industry, presented the Molla system, an innovative solution designed to improve the comfort, ergonomics and ventilation of beds installed on motorhomes, caravans and vans, at the Düsseldorf 2024 Caravan Salon.

Molla is a modular plastic suspension system that can be applied directly to wooden slatted bed frames. Using the Molla Cross accessory, it can also be used on continuous bed panels. It is designed to provide an individually adaptable level of mattress support and breathability, optimizing sleep quality even in compact environments with limited ventilation.

Main technical features:

• Lightweight and durable technopolymer suspension designed to last and withstand distributed loads;
• Tool-free installation using adjustable clips that attach directly to the existing slats;
• Adjustable spring height from 35 to 55 mm using modular shims included in the kit (two per unit);
• Compatibility with flat surfaces using the Molla Cross bracket (sold separately) for attaching to rigid panels;
• Basic kit consisting of 12 springs, 12 clips and 24 shims (48 springs are recommended for a standard single bed);
• Open structure for better ventilation under the mattress, with a positive effect on moisture management and overall healthiness of the environment.

In addition to improving the quality of sleep on the road, Molla contributes to making the mattress last longer by reducing pressure points and increasing aeration between the bed surface and the base of the mattress. The system responds to the increasingly advanced needs for ergonomic comfort in high-end and mid-range vehicles, including the camper van sector.

Molla is now available in Europe through Lippert’s sales network. It can be fitted as original equipment by manufacturers or integrated as an aftermarket solution.
