Lippert introduces new Altair and Altair Open retractable blinds

New Altair and Altair Open-Lippert Components, Inc. (Lippert™) – one of the leading global suppliers of original equipment and aftermarket accessories for the recreational vehicle (RV) industry – is excited to announce the launch of its first retractable window blinds with mosquito screens: Altair and Altair Open. These innovative products will be revealed at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf and offer an advanced and versatile solution for both the OEM and aftermarket segments, combining practicality, quality, and elegance.

Altair

With a closed four-sided frame, the Altair blind is designed to provide complete protection and excellent durability. Made with a robust PVC frame and polyester blackout fabric, Altair uses a friction slide mechanism that allows easy opening and closing, locking the blind and mosquito screen in any desired position. The retractable blind filters light and ensures privacy, serving as a more cost-effective alternative to pleated blinds. The upper housing contains the mosquito screen while the lower housing contains the blind.

Altair Open

Featuring an open three-sided frame, Altair Open offers great installation flexibility. This version is particularly suitable for aftermarket installations due to its ability to adapt to different sizes. Altair Open is also made from lightweight and durable PVC and uses the same friction slide mechanism for optimal handling of the opening and closing of the blind and mosquito screen. Both are housed in the upper casing.

• Friction mechanism – Allows the blind to stop at any point without predefined positions, enabling unrivalled light adjustment.
• PVC frame, aluminum handles – The lightweight and durable frame is suitable for installation on flat walls; the handles provide an extraordinary sense of solidity and reliability.
• Customization – The blinds are available in various colors, including white (RAL 9010 Pure White), beige (RAL 1013 Oyster White), and black (RAL 9005 Jet Black), allowing perfect integration with the vehicle’s interior design.

Affordability – The retractable blinds are more economical compared to pleated ones, offering excellent value for money

Benefits:

The new Altair and Altair Open blinds are equipped with aluminum handles that feel solid and reliable. The patented fabric management system during rolling ensures easy handling, even when the handle is grasped at a less-than-optimal angle, as often happens when the user is seated sideways to the window. Both versions comply with ECE R21 regulations and can be equipped with fire-retardant fabrics upon request.
